Abstract

Mengandalkan pabrik daur ulang plastik sebagai satu-satunya solusi, tanpa mengedepankan upaya pencegahan penggunaan plastik sekali pakai, edukasi masyarakat, dan pengembangan alternatif plastik ramah lingkungan merupakan sebuah false solution. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meneliti kontaminasi mikroplastik pada sedimen didalam sungai akibat pembuangan limbah pabrik daur ulang plastik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada 2 stasiun dengan masing-masing stasiun yaitu 3 titik. Preparasi 6 sampel dilakukan dengan pengeringan, pemisahan densitas dan destruksi bahan organik. Mengunakan ayakan 5 mm, 0,3 mm dan kain saring 300 mesh. NaCl 300ml digunakan untuk pemisahan densitas, destruksi bahan organik menggunakan 20 ml H2O2 30% dan 5 ml Fe2SO2 0,05 M, lalu dilarutkan dengan aquades kemudian diidentikasi menggunakan mikroskop stereo. Hasil menunjukkan semua sampel sedimen terkontaminasi mikroplastik. Jenis mikroplastik yang ditemukan berupa fragmen, fiber, dan film. Hasil tertinggi terdapat pada titik outlet yaitu sebanyak 346 partkel/50 gram. Perlu adanya peran masyarakat dan pemerintah dalam menjaga lingkungan.
