Identifikasi Mikroplastik Udara Ambien 18 Kabupaten/Kota di Indonesia pada Mei-Juli 2025

Mikroplastik telah menjadi ancaman baru bagi kualitas udara di Indonesia seiring meningkatnya aktivitas manusia dan penggunaan plastik sekali pakai. Partikel ini berukuran sangat kecil dan dapat terhirup hingga ke saluran pernapasan manusia. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik mikroplastik udara di berbagai kota di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah deposisi pasif menggunakan cawan petri pada ketinggian setara pernapasan dengan analisis laboratorium berbasis mikroskopi dan FTIR. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menentukan variasi jenis, ukuran, warna, dan polimer mikroplastik. Hasil menunjukkan variasi kelimpahan antar wilayah dengan dominasi fragmen berwarna hitam dan polimer seperti PTFE, nylon, dan polyester yang berasal dari pembakaran sampah, transportasi, serta tekstil. Sehingga sangat dibutuhkan adanya pembatasan plastik sekali pakai dan penguatan ruang hijau untuk menekan pencemaran mikroplastik udara.
